Discover Windward, a gathering arena for family-focused fun, is an event that will combine the best of the Windward side’s fashion, food and music. On Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Windward Mall, Discover Windward is a free event tailored to sharing the Windward culture with family and friends.

Live entertainment will be provided by an impressive line-up of local musicians, including Maunalua, Paul Izak, Mailani, Tamatoa dance group, Kody Riehl, Yogarden and EMKE. Familes may gather to enjoy the lively music while eating dishes from various food trucks and vendors, including complimentary sampling of Starbucks Ice Coffee in flavors of caramel, vanilla, 2% and regular. Other vendors will include Gyu-Kaku, Ruby Tuesday, Cholos Homestyle Mexican, Paul’s Poppers, Inferno’s, He‘eia Pier, and a farmers’ market by Nalo Farms and Aloha Farmers.

Classy fashion show ensembles will bring together the various styles of Windward Mall boutiques and retail stores, such as Aeropostale, T&C, Charlotte Russe, Jeans Warehouse, Patty’s Closet Fashion Boutique, Wet Seal, Cookie’s Clothing Company, Sears and Local Motion.

Discover Windward will also highlight the various community organizations that are invaluable to the Windward area, such as YMCA Windward, Kailua Chamber of Commerce, He`eia Fish Pond, Byodo-In Temple, Paradise Bay Resort, Ko‘olau Foundation, Ko‘olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club, PACT, Sea Life Park and more!

Various other booths will showcase the offerings of health and fitness and services such as Hawaii Gas, Expressions Portrait Design, HMSA, Oahu Spine & Rehab, and more. The keiki will have their own Fun Zone, organized by Kama‘aina Kids.

All of this and much more will ensure that Discover Windward is the best place to spend an evening “discovering” more about this unique side of O‘ahu.
